"The SIBS Board of Misericordia was founded by Lois Gates in 1993 with members who are still active in the community. It’s purpose was to increase involvement of siblings of Misericordia residents. Increasing sibling engagement is needed now more than ever, and we need your help! Quarterly newsletters will begin to support this effort."

With the updated guidance from IDPH, Covid-19 vaccinations are no longer mandatory. Staying up to date with required vaccines and boosters is, however, highly recommended as a component of infection prevention. With this in mind, effective June 1, 2023, Misericordia will no longer mandate employees and volunteers to be up to date with Covid-19 vaccinations and boosters. Please do consider maintaining your status.
Well-fitted masks are required of all employees and visitors in McAuley. All other areas on campus will be mask optional unless the risk is high, based on:
Please ask the Director or AVP if you have any questions.

This week we are highlighting the Benefit Silent Auction. As always, Misericordia families have been gracious and generous with both their time and their treasure giving us a great start on our offerings.
At this time, we are looking for some help. We have listed several items on the GiveSmart site (click below) and we are hoping that you will take a look and help us with some underwriting* so that we can offer these on our Silent Auction. And, as always, if you have any ideas, experiences, items or contacts, please get in touch. Thank you!
Margaret Dillon

We wanted to inform you that Dr. Jennifer Farrell will be leaving the clinic. She and her family will be moving out of state. Dr. Farrell was one of the “founding” dentists involved with starting the clinic. We are very grateful to her for sharing her knowledge and supporting the Donovan Clinic.
Our plan is to find a new dentist and we hope to begin interviewing several dentists. We will keep you posted, but also know that this may slow the clinic down somewhat.

Starting in June, part of Ridge Ave, north of Peterson, will be closed. This is likely to cause traffic disruptions which may impact travel to Misericordia.
The closure is part of the construction of the new Metra station at Peterson and is expected to last 2 months. Please plan your travel accordingly.
