A Message from Father Jack
Dear Misericordia Parents and Guardians,
In September 2025, Misericordia partnered with A&M Consulting to begin the search for a new Resident Care System/EMR, as we prepare to sunset our legacy system, AWARDS, over the next year.
Misericordia undertook this search, as our current system could not keep pace with the needs of our expanding resident community. We needed to ensure that staff, providers, and families have access to the required information to provide the best possible care for your family member.
This fifteen-week engagement included interviews with employees across the organization who represent critical roles and serve as subject matter experts. Their insights were invaluable in helping us clearly define our needs and priorities.
Following these interviews and a comprehensive review of requirements, three potential systems were identified and evaluated. Each system was rated based on the following criteria:
- Clinical and operational functional requirements
- User experience and staff adoption
- Regulatory compliance and reporting
- Vendor support and partnership
We are pleased to announce that WellSky Specialty Care has been selected as our new system!
WellSky is dedicated to supporting high-quality, coordinated care by enhancing communication and documentation capabilities—allowing our staff to spend more meaningful time with our residents.
The next phase of this journey will involve a multi-stage implementation process that will unfold over the coming months. Misericordia will work with staff and subject matter experts across the organization to ensure we have the right processes and systems in place.
